Will my turquoise jewelry look like the one in the picture?
Our Native American jewelry is hand made from natural stones and shells. These wonders of nature are imbued with individual beauty, color, and markings that differ slightly from stone to stone. The photo is representative of what you will receive but the natural markings on the stones may not be exactly the same.
What is the difference between German silver and other kinds of silver?
German silver is primarily an alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel originally named for its silver-white color. Although it does not contain any silver it is virtually indistinguishable from polished silver. It was discovered in the early 19th century by a German industrial chemist, by the name of E. A. Geitner. Because of its hardness, toughness, and resistance to corrosion, German silver is often used for articles such as tableware (commonly silver plated), marine fittings, and plumbing fixtures. It is well suited to the manufacture of belt buckles and bolo tie slides because it is stronger, harder, and more scratch resistant that silver providing for lower cost, greater durability, and lower maintenance.
